My 97 Mustang Cobra

My car started life as a new 1997 Mustang Cobra that I bought in late 1996. I quickly got the urge to make it a little quicker, and ended up with what you see here:

The car has a built shortblock with Manley H-Beam rods and JE pistons, the CR was lowered slightly to safetly run  a little boost. I'm still running untouched heads, intake and cams, but have removed the IMRC stuff. As you can see, I'm also running a custom MMR turbo setup (Precision T76 GTS), running about 14psi or so of boost. To control the engine, I'm running a MegaSquirt II DIY ECU, with a custom harness that I constructed myself. For info on the MegaSquirt stuff, checkout http://www.msefi.com

I use my own software (TEWBLOG) for tuning and datalogging, along with a TechEdge wideband o2 controller. For information about TechEdge widebands, goto the TechEdge website at http://www.wbo2.com

I've also transplanted in a 4R70W automatic transmission. This one was from a 2000 F-150, I disassembled and rebuilt it using race clutches, installed a PA transbrake valvebody, and control it with a Baumann TCS transmission controller.

I've run the car on street tires, and I'm a crappy driver to say the least, still the car managed a respectable 11.30 @ 127 MPH at 3500FT elevation (2.0 60ft). This was on 91 octane pump gas.
